Workshop: Inclusive Education in Practice

Of interest

  • Date: 16 September, 2015

The Workshop is being organised in collaboration with the universities of Deusto and Ramon Llull within the Aristos Campus Mundus framework. Inclusive Education in Practice will be held on 1 October from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm in the P. García Polavieja Room (Alberto Aguilera, 23).

The workshop has been designed for members of the university community; teachers and guidance counselors at schools; Inclusive Education Forum collaborators; professionals from the field of assistance for the disabled and experts in Inclusive Education and diversity.
The aim is to establish the bases to build an inclusive setting that accepts differences and promotes the strategies needed to implement a quality education for all and which develops the individual’s maximum potential.

Points for reflection:

  • Meeting the demands of diversity in the classroom. What does this require from teachers and students? What strategic decisions must be taken within the school?
  • How can we reach the objective of a quality education for all, regardless of the student’s particular situation?
  • What do we need to revise within the education system to efficiently meet the challenges of diversity? Methodologies, resources, the roles of agents that intervene, the use of spaces, grading systems, participation dynamics, etc.
  • What aspects should we discontinue in order to build flexible tolerant education spaces?
