8 July, 2010

ACMThe technical committee set up by the Ministry of Education to manage the first phase of the selection process for the 2010 Campus for International Excellence gave the go ahead to the project presented by Comillas, granting approval to enter the second phase jointly with the University of Deusto and the University of Ramon Llull for the 2015 Aristos Campus Mundus project.

Last year, the projects put forth by the University of Deusto and the University of Ramon Llull received the CIE Promising Project qualification and were exempt from the first phase of the competition. The University of Comillas, which did not enter the 2009 competition, has now been selected in the 2010 competition.

The three universities- Deusto, Ramon Llull and Comillas- will now present their joint project 2015 Aristos Campus Mundus -Socially responsible and sustainable innovation- with a view to obtaining the qualification of Campus for International Excellence. This initiative aims to position the three universities as an international reference point in the field of social innovation.

The University of Comillas has successfully achieved its objective. Work continues with Deusto and Ramon Llull to prepare the joint project to be presented in the next phase.
